Science Reflection

Science Reflection.

Three things that I will never forget about this topic, is how to draw a Boron diagram, the structure of an atom, and the octet rule. We have talked about these a lot so it's really easy to remember now :)

My favourite thing that we did in this unit was learn how to balance chemical equations because it was something that I always found difficult at first but once I mastered the step I felt like a real Smarty Pants :) :p

Three things I learned in this unit are the difference between protons, neutrons and electrons and where they are in an atom, some more about the atom structure, for example the different type of energy shells and also how to draw a boron diagram.

I think we covered a lot in this topic, so i'm not curious about much really.

Thanks for a great start to science Mr Haugen, I really enjoyed learning more chemistry :D

Food

Food, glorious food.

Yummmmaayyyyyy.

A few questions for all of you who are going to read this relatively short posts.

Popcorn vs Chicken vs Chocolate.

You can only choose one.

Oh and the chicken is any type of chicken you like as is the chocolate.

GO GO GO. And for those who can give me the best reason as to why they like that particular type of food then they get a cookie or something. Idk. I'll decide when you've all commented or if you decide to comment.

My rant on Pink.

The debate of whether pink is a girl's color or isn't has been going on for a very long time. I mean this whole idea of pink being associated with girls clothes gloss, barbies and that this color belongs to girl, in my opinion is quite ridiculous.

Pink is an amazing color, I love pink, I put pink in everything of mine, for me pink is a color that looks good in anything. Pink shoes, pink cricket grips, it goes with everything. So for me, this whole idea of pink being a girl's color is absolute garbage. Pink can be for both sexes, if you like the color then you like the color. It doesn't make you girly.

So if you love the color pink and your a boy, and your afraid that you'll be weird than don't be afraid. Pink is for everyone.

English Class So Far.

The sudden nerves as the last day of the summer holidays approached,  a feeling of excitement and nervousness bubbled inside my already full stomach. How would Grade 8 English be like? Would there be too much work? Would my class be rubbish and my teacher an unfair stinking moron? All of these thoughts drifted in my head, one after another like knives each piercing the nerves in my body. However this class has turned out to be awesome, and also the teacher awesome( don't think I'm sucking up cause you know it's true ) .

So far in class, I've definitely learnt that in english there is more than just one angle(writing) at which you can look at it. For example, using photos, making movies is something that you wouldn't associate with an english class. Of course writing is very important and learning how to write effectively and efficiently is a skill that you have to know. But it is refreshing knowing that there are other and more interesting angles that you can use to learn english.

I definitely like the fact that our class are very happy. There hasn't really been an argument, and that's a very good thing in my opinion cause if we all get along, then we are all enjoying school and that's what we want really.

Learning English this year has been fun and I haven't found any major issues that I can talk about, but I definitely think that, although photography, and blogging is fun, that we should work on our writing skills, a bit more as our exams are coming up, it's  very important to write well.
